Social Psychology Ph.D. Student, University of Colorado at Boulder
Research Interests: I study stereotyping and prejudice generally. My interest in this area has extended to projects focused on a variety of sociopolitical issues. Some examples are:
- gender issues surrounding work and family responsibilities
- emotions, group-based threat, and belief in White Privilege
- political ideology and group cohesiveness.
I also attempt to infuse the knowledge that comes out of these projects into areas outside of academia. I currently serve on a task force to increase diversity awareness and responsible behavior among incoming University of Colorado students. I have also volunteered for Public Achievement, which is a program designed to encourage civic engagement among under-served youth
